If you don’t have free speech throughout your own country, do you have free speech?

The Metropolitan Police has so far not commented on the viral video of a female police officer defending freedom of speech surrounded by a crowd of angry Muslim men in Whitechapel but it has questions to answer.

This is the moment a police officer defends a Christian preacher in Whitechapel and is told: “This is a Muslim area.”

excerpt

The confrontation sees a female Met Police officer being surrounded by males and telling them: “In this country, we have freedom of speech.”

She continued: “I understand that you guys don’t want to hear it, so I would just recommend that you walk away and don’t listen to him. He’s not in your home.”

Questions for the Met include: why is it that this police officer understands English law in a way that the three Met police officers who arrested Christian street preacher, John Sherwood, in Uxbridge in 2021 apparently did not?

So – If you don’t have free speech throughout your own country, do you have free speech?

NOPE

when the spell is broken…

All,
I hope you are well!
I hate to go on about this but considering the state of free speech in the world today, I feel I must. Please ignore if it’s not your cup of tea. ;-) lb

Our Creator – not any government, any political leader or any petty bureaucrat, grants us our rights.

The US Bill of Rights which includes our 1st Amendment are restrictions on the US government, not granted rights from. As far as I’m concerned, they are restrictions on all governments. No other “rules” override our rights.

Abridged speech is not free speech. If you don’t support speech you disagree with, you don’t support free speech. Some speech is not more equal than others.

For those of you who have served our country – Thank You!

And I should say the same to those men and women throughout the world who have served their respective countries in the cause of freedom!

ABSTRACT. New species Celastrina iryna is described from the southeastern coastal plain of the United States. This species is most similar to Celastrina neglecta but differs by possession of the unique dorsal overlay of clear wing scales found in Celastrina ladon males. It is hypothesized that this may be a hybrid species. Some aspects of its life history remain unknown and call for further field research. The species name is a tribute to Iryna Zarutska, of Charlotte, N.C.

Is there justice without Free Speech? | Halloween Edition…

Abridged speech is not free speech. If you don’t support speech you disagree with, you don’t support free speech. Some speech is not more equal than others.

There’s a reason “free speech” is the 1st Amendment of the Bill of Rights. Many people sacrificed their lives so that US citizens and others across the world could speak freely, without fear of retribution. Fight for it, just like they did.

Because when it’s gone, so aren’t these United States.

First Amendment of the US Constitution
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Switzerland was famous (or infamous) for staying neutral in World War II. It simply would not take a side between the Nazis and the rest of the world. However, when it comes to free speech, Switzerland has declared war on anyone who challenges certain orthodox positions, including gender policies. Just ask Emanuel Brünisholz.

Brünisholz is reportedly about to start a 10-day prison stint ….

Is there justice without Free Speech?’

NOPE ;-)

Revenge is mine …

Revenge is mine, and I will repay them in due time, that their foot may slide: the day of destruction is at hand, and the time makes haste to come.

Rest in Peace Iryna Zarutska

Some of them standing, some were waiting in line
As if there was something that they thought they might find
Taking some strength from the feelings that always were shared
And in the background, the eyes that just stared

What was it brought you out here in the dark?
Was it your only way of
making your mark?
Did you get rid of all the voices in your head?
Do you now miss them and the things that they said?

On your own admission, you raised up the knife
And you brought it down, ending another man’s life
When it was done, you just threw down the blade
While the red blood spread wider like the anger you made

I don’t want this anger burning in me
It’s something from which it’s so hard to be free
But none of the tears that we cry in sorrow or rage
Can make any difference, or turn back the page
