“Rich Men North Of Richmond”

I’ve been sellin’ my soul, workin’ all day
Overtime hours for ******** pay
So I can sit out here and waste my life away
Drag back home and drown my troubles away

It’s a damn shame what the world’s gotten to
For people like me and people like you
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true
But it is, oh, it is

Livin’ in the new world
With an old soul
These rich men north of Richmond, Lord knows they all
Just wanna have total control
Wanna know what you think, wanna know what you do
And they don’t think you know, but I know that you do
‘Cause your dollar ain’t **** and it’s taxed to no end
‘Cause of rich men north of Richmond

I wish politicians would look out for miners
And not just minors on an island somewhere
Lord, we got folks in the street, ain’t got nothin’ to eat
And the obese milkin’ welfare

Well, God, if you’re 5-foot-3 and you’re 300 pounds
Taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds
Young men are puttin’ themselves six feet in the ground
‘Cause all this damn country does is keep on kickin’ them down

Lord, it’s a damn shame what the world’s gotten to
For people like me and people like you
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true
But it is, oh, it is

Livin’ in the new world
With an old soul
These rich men north of Richmond, Lord knows they all
Just wanna have total control
Wanna know what you think, wanna know what you do
And they don’t think you know, but I know that you do
‘Cause your dollar ain’t **** and it’s taxed to no end
‘Cause of rich men north of Richmond

I’ve been sellin’ my soul, workin’ all day
Overtime hours for ******** pay

We’re only here to make you – “Go” | Chemical Brothers and Michel Gondry

Hi All

Hope you’re all well!

I love this video and tune. The dance routine and the surroundings remind me of the German Expressionist movies of the 1920s but you’ll be surprised to learn that it was filmed in Paris. For more info on that see the link below.

Gondry and the Chemical Brothers do a great job on this 2015 upbeat dance tune.

CHEMICAL BROTHERS GO BRUTALIST!
French filmmaker Michel Gondry shot the 2015 Chemical Brothers’ music video in Paris brutalist architecture, just a stone’s throw away from the Eiffel tower… and a Statue of Liberty.

Let’s Make a Better World | Dr John

The world we know was built on skills but that alone don’t count.
Without the sweat and toil of mine; it wouldn’t be worth a dime.
You got to live and give share and care. really put some love in the air.
When your neighbor’s down try to pick him up. nobody can live in despair.

Everybody let’s sing sing sing… (let freedom ring)
(everybody let’s sing sing sing…)
Let’s all pitch in to do our thing make a better world to live in.
Everybody let’s sing sing sing… (let freedom ring)
(everybody let’s sing sing sing…)
Let’s all pitch in and do our thing make a better world to live in.

Society has no priority we’re all one part of a whole.
When people scream and shout you hafta hear `em out. everybody is a beautiful soul.
You gotta pull together go hand in hand. you really got to do your best.
Wouldn’t it be a perfect sight to see: the whole world filled with happiness.
Everybody let’s sing sing sing… (let freedom ring)
(everybody let’s sing sing sing…)
Let’s all pitch in to do our thing make a better world to live in.
Everybody let’s sing sing sing… (let freedom ring)
(everybody let’s sing sing sing…)
Let’s all pitch in to do our thing make a better world to live in.
Everybody let’s sing sing sing…
(everybody let’s sing sing sing…)
Let’s all join hands and do our thing make a better world to live in.

Hold the line! | Fuel Hope (Zündstoff Hoffnung) Project

Hi All
I hope you’re well!

This is my second submission to the” Fuel Hope (Zündstoff Hoffnung)” Project. By the way, you can find out more and enter your own submissions here. I see a lot of beautiful, hopeful, work out there. Don’t be shy. The more hope, the better.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the word, “hope” lately, thanks to Petra ;-) I’m finding I have mixed feelings about the word but I will write more on that in my next submission.

I’m a hopeful person by nature but ooohhh, I’ve had my dark days. And at present, we are in some, dark, days. But we can’t let that darkness bring us to despair. We must hold on and lift up those that are stumbling, knowing better days are ahead.

Music – creating, playing and listening has always been a great source of hope for me and I’m sure for most of you. It can take you out of yourself and focus your spirit on the positive. Find those pieces of music that work for you and fuel your hope.

Be strong; Be brave; Honor your ancestors.
Hold the line !

take care
leo
