Wooden Bridge | Yale Forest – Eastford, CT
When Kokh’s boat approached the small island of Kolyuchin in the Russian High Arctic, which had been abandoned by humans since 1992, he was surprised to spot movement in one of the houses. Binoculars revealed polar bears – more than 20 in total – exploring the ghost town. Dmitry used a low-noise drone to document them.

As we drive around New England, we find these old (by US standards) remnants of what I believe was colonial times. I’m not exactly sure when this was built and I’m sure it’s been maintained but still… It’s interesting how they built this structure right in the side of a hill out of stone. Amazing work…
